Well Sunday saw my first proper Group Class over at Caple..with Sue.....
wow what a day! what fun!....It was great to see how my teaching skills are translated into peoples own paintings...
its really good to see how peoples perceptions of clouds, sea, waves acn all differ so greatly...not one picture came out the same as mine....which i guess is a good thing! LOL
anyway it looks like me and Sue might well make a somewhat regular thing of getting together and teaching a class together...which is a good things.....for all involved....
after months of searching ive finally found a solution to my cleaning bucket woes...
the problem?: well the Bob ross cleaning bucket..whilst very good..has a couple of problems...A its expensive for a bucket..and you only need so many cleaning screens..and B: its cracks and leaks if you keep your thinners in it too long!
i was searching round fo ra replacement metal bucket when i came across this in Woolworths:
http://www.woolworths.co.uk/web/jsp/product/index.jsp?pid=50349401
thats the smaller version..but you can buy a larger version that stands about a foot tall and gives quite a good fit for the standard Bob Ross cleaning screen......its also tall enough to be very sturdy and give a good side to push your brushes against to let the excess thinners drop out!
all for £7!!!! thats 3 less than the plastic Bob Ross bucket!
problem solved!
Well had my very first public demonstartion of the wet on wet technique yesterday!
it was great fun...painting in front of total strangers at a large local craft store....
had a good crowd of people at one point in the day and managedto sell a painting during the demo as well!
so all told not a bad day....most people were very impressed and i gave out quite a few leaflets for private tuition...so with luck a few might bite and i can start on the long road to turning this little hobby into a part time, good fun..holiday fund machine! LOL
just a quick note to welcome you all to my new Blog!
this should be a fun insight into what ive been up to and how things are going......
so enjoy your visit!
